Perfectly Pastry is run by sisters me, Lindsey, and my sister, Lacey, with our mom, Chef Chris Phillips. We started the business after our mom came to a crossroads in her life. After 20 years in the accounting world, she decided it’s time to do something that she likes.
She no longer could stand going to work each day and sitting behind a desk and computer. Now we create delightful cupcakes, pies, and breads for your enjoyment.
So why do you care? Well, we, here at Perfectly Pastry, are working to help you stop wasting your hard-earned cash on store-bought crap. Instead, we want to help you discover the joys of exceptional, high-quality, handcrafted breakfast and desserts and become the #1 choice for all your pastry needs.
But, we are more than just delicious pastries. We want to be part of your story. Here you will find resources to help you bridge the gap between your dreams and reality. It doesn’t matter if your journey started out as a home baker or a professional baker. It doesn’t matter if you are selling from your home, farmers market, or a commercial kitchen. You will find many different tools to help you bring your dreams to fruition. (Join us on Facebook [LINK] to learn how much we love that word and why.)
On our site, you will find business, baking, and planning information and tools to help you, our fellow business entrepreneurs and fellow bakers, take the next steps in chasing your dreams. [LINK]
Each month we will bring you recipes, baking tips, and more to help you impress your friends and family with some new culinary skills each month in this newsletter.
We know that 30 days may be way too long to hear all the great information that we have to share with you. If you can’t wait to connect with us in this newsletter each month, then we want to invite you to follow us on social media. We are @perfectlypastrybakery on Facebook and @perfectlypastry on all other social media like Twitter, IG, and Pinterest. Facebook is the only one that’s @perfectlypastrybakery. If you are curious to know more about that quirkiness, then definitely catch my lives where I talk all about how I made a SUPER BIG marketing mistake when starting my business. (Hey, we are all humans and make mistakes, right 😉)
We not only do a weekly LIVE in our Facebook group, but we have a Podcast and a YouTube channel. What can I say? We are all about that “sharing is caring”.
Enough about us, let’s get this sharing party started. This month we want to share with you one of our favorite tips:
When you create cinnamon rolls from scratch, substitute the sugar you use to feed your yeast with molasses. It is our little secret trick on how to get perfectly plump cinnamon rolls every time.
There is actually a scientific explanation behind this that our pastry chef (psst… my super, wonderful mom) explains here. Check it out.
